Nestor Gomez

Nestor Gomez has spent over 20 years transforming complex challenges into innovative technology solutions within the agri-food sector.

As the CTO of the Canadian Food Innovation Network, he led the team behind YODL, a Higher Logic community that grew eightfold in just two and a half years, assisting dozens of innovators in securing funding, reaching early adopters, and forming partnerships, particularly among membership organizations.

During his 15-year tenure at McCain Foods, he initiated digital transformation in manufacturing, launched an innovation program with over 25 startups, and designed the River Valley Strategy. This program focused on talent attraction and support, delivering a housing project, digital technology training and kits for educators and schools, a relocation aid toolkit, and a pandemic food-donation initiative.
